Successful Bid to host International Union for Quaternary Research Congress in Dublin (2019)

Staff from Botany and Geography recently returned from the International Union for Quaternary Research Congress in Japan. Papers presented were well received. Those attending contributed to pitching for a bid to host the Congress in Dublin in 2019. Despite stiff opposition from Spain and Italy, Ireland was awarded the bid. The Congress will be held in the Dublin Convention Centre and will accommodate up to 2,500 delegates.
