Member of School invited to become a member of the WHO Guideline Development Group – The Control of Soil-Transmitted Helminth Infections in High-Risk Groups: Preventative Chemotherapy in Children, Adolescents and Women in Health and Nutrition:

Professor Celia Holland has been invited to become a member of WHO Guideline Development Group (GDG) – deworming. This group are collaborating to develop, update and consolidate evidence-informed recommendations on safe and effective interventions for reducing helminth infections and preventing re-infection through chemotherapy in vulnerable populations living in areas of soil-transmitted helminthiasis. The guideline recommendations will help Member States and their partners make informed decisions on appropriate actions in their efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. The first meeting of the group will take place in April in Geneva.
